In response to the need for up-to-date land price information - in real-time - Jim Rothermich created “The Land Talker" in the spring of 2016. Surveys published by various organizations have a time lag and can quickly become outdated. Pottawattamie County gets top honor this week with a sale at $17,900/acre. Crops are disappearing fast. Weather forecast is favorable for harvest.

Washington County tops the market with a sale at $19,200/acre. There were several “no sales” which continues to indicate market conditions are still adjusting to current economic conditions. Harvest is in full swing.

Topping the market this week is Jefferson County with a sale at $15,100/acre. Corn Prices did not have a good week. Grain traders are expecting high yields this fall, increasing the supply.

Mitchell County tops the market with a sale at $15,750/acre. Lots of heat in the forecast at the beginning of week and milder temps later. Crop is looking good.
