Sioux County tops the market this week at $17,200/acre. There’s lots of cold weather in the forecast this week. Cattle prices are setting all-time record highs right now.

Top honors go to Plymouth County with a sale at $22,600/acre. Snow is in the forecast this week. We need precipitation, anyway it comes.

Clay County wins top price honors with a sale at $16,800/acre. We’re finally getting some warmer weather in the extended forecast. Groundhog Day will be here soon!

Sioux County tops the market for this week and the 2024 year with a whopping $26,750/acre sale on 76 acres. There are only a few auctions to finish out the year and January 2025 appears to have low volume.

Calhoun County tops the market with a sale at $17,500/acre. We continue to see strong auction results not only in Iowa, but all over the Midwest. This is the last week in November and auction activity is brisk.

Lyon County does it again with a $24,250/acre sale. I’m seeing some strong auction results in Iowa and surrounding states. November is the busiest month of the year for land auctions.

Sioux County does it again with a sale at $23,400/acre. There are over 20,000 acres on deck to be auctioned in the next 30 days, plenty of opportunity to buy land.

Iowa County takes top honors with a sale at $17,000/acre. This land had been in CRP for 40 years and has several years left – a very strong sale for CRP. Harvest is nearing the end and fall field work and fertilizer application are beginning. This is my favorite time of year.
